What types of energy were available to people to use before the industrial revolution

There were not many good types of energy before the Industrial Revolution (Pre-Industrial revolution).

I believe one though, was the light-bulb. The light-bulb was a very useful invention. Not only did it provide light, but it was in-expensive, and lowered the risk of a fire starting (for those who used candles). Nowadays you wont see a 5 year old walking around with a candle. The light-bulb was one of the most successful inventions, and Millions of people use them today.
