Slope-intercept form is y=ax+b.

y-6=-4(x+2)

Simplify

y-6=-4x-8

+6 both sides

y=-4x-2

The answer is y=-4x-2.

The slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

y - 6 = -4(x + 2)        use distributive property

y - 6 = (-4)(x) + (-4)(2)

y - 6 = -4x - 8       add 6 to both sides

y = -4x - 2

m = -4 - slope

b = -2 - y-intercept
