When you add more molecules (lets say to reactant side) and keep other factors unchanged (temperature and pressure), the system will try to oppose this change and try to decrease the molecules. Hence, equilibrium will shift to the right and favor the forward reaction. Therefore, the yield of the product will increase.

And the opposite of this reaction happens when more of the product is added
