Because if Britain fell then Nazi Germany would have no real threat to the west and no worries about a second front as well as Britain would serve as a naval invading point for the allies if that fell it would be considerably more difficult for America to do a naval invasion from thousands of miles away a other significant cause is that if Britain didnt surrender germany would have to keep soldier in the west to keep from a naval invasion happening instead of fighting against the soviets
