The answer is x=2
8-3x=2
You minus 8 from each side=-3=-6
You then divide -6 by -3=2
A negative number divided by a negative number stays negative.

when eight  decreases by this three times of the number then its expression = 8-3x

And, according to the question, this expression is equal to two.
