On the day of the prophecy Caesar sees Artemidorus and tells him that the prophecy is false but the soothsayer replies that the day is not over yet.  He tries to give Caesar a letter but was prevented by Decius.  The soothsayer reflects fate in a sense that he is always there to remind Caesar and though he tries to help him, factors come into play that makes Caesar’s death inevitable.
