2/4+3/8. how do I calculate this

Well, 2/4 is equivalent to 4/8. So you can turn the 2/4 into 4/8 and then add 4/8 plus 3/8.

use order of operations (PEMDAS) first you would divide 2 by 4 which gives you 0.5 and then divide 3 by 8 which gives you 0.375 then add them together which gives you 0.835
