What does Frankenstein show Walton to convince him of the truth of his story?

Walton is full of doubt about the story he has heard, but he is very kind and understanding to Victor and his very upsetting  life. The appearance of the creature at Victor's bedside proves the truth of the story, and so it is  understood that Walton believes what Victor has told him.
