If the line 2x-5y+8=0 at what point would it intersect

for x axis intersect, that is wher y=0
wher intersect y axis, that is wher x=0

so

xintercept
set y=0 and solve
2x+8=0
2x=-8
x=-4
xint i (-4,0)

yint
set x=0 and solve
-5y+8=0
8=5y
8/5=y
yint is (0, 8/5)

xint is (-4,0)
yint is (0,8/5)
