Factors that needs some consideration in positioning a product are;

  1. Brand Attributes.
  2. Consumer Expectations.
  3. Competitor attributes

  • Product positioning can be regarded as process involving making  decisions and communication of how a firm want their products to be  think and feel in the market.

Some of the factors needed to be considered in product positioning are;

  1. Consumer Expectations: research should be made to know what the consumer expect, because meeting consumer expectations boast sales.
  2. Competitor attributes: The attribute of other competitor brands needs to be considered so that it doesn't affect your own brands.
  3. Brand Attributes; the features of the brand needs to be considered to know if it will be of  benefits to consumers.

Therefore, Product positioning require consideration about the compititors.
