Personification is when you give an object or animal human behaviors.
In the poem " The Eagle " by Alfred Lord Tennyson
" The wrinkled sea beneath him crawls "
As seen in the above phrase Alfred has personified the sea linking it with two stages of human life.
"The waves quickly ran onto the shore and back into the ocean"
The waves wrapped around me and gave a gentle hug
