Cells get raw materials like water, oxygens and nutrients through their cell membranes. They have structures called organelles, and each type of organelle have its own role in the functioning of a cell. Together, they process those raw materials to acquire energy through cellular respiration and provide what the body needs to function. Cells also work together, forming tissues, that will form the organs and, together, create the systems that allow our organisms to work properly.
