First, you need to find the area of the rectangle. As you already know, the formula for area is length times width. So, you would need to do 7 times 6, which is 42. Now, the triangle is a little more complicated. the height is about 2 and the base is 6. 6 times 2 is 12, but if you remember the area of a triangle, it's B times H divided by 2, so 12 divided by 2 is 6, so 42 plus 6 is 48. I THINK that is the surface area :)
