P(x) = 5x⁴ + 3
Q(x) = 3x⁶ + 5x⁴ - 4
And R(x) = P(x).Q(x)

The degree of a polynomial is the highest EXPONENT on a variable.
For instance the degree of P(x) is 4 (since 4 is the greatest exponent)
and the degree of Q(x) is 6 (since 6 is the greatest exponent)
The degree of their product R(x) = (x⁴).(x⁶)
 R(x) = x⁽⁴⁺⁶) and R(x) = x¹⁰, then the degree of this product R(x) is 10
