It depends on motor proteins and micro-tubules. Motor proteins are proteins that transform chemical energy into mechanical energy which helps cell movement and they also move along a surface. Micro-tubules are also proteins and they are structural components of the cytoskeleton. They are used as structures for movement with the vesicles .
